I do like a well-played lute.
I think that would have been a great exercise piece back eons ago when I had access to a borrowed reproduction lute and was taking formal lessons. I learned a lot of Dowland instead.
@ Unknown - yeah it would have been a great piece to spring on people at a recital or other place where they were expecting straight baroque.
Good music is good music. There are numerous examples of Bach's music being performed on instruments other than what Bach wrote the music for. For that matter, there are not as numerous examples of Bach writing the same music for different instrumental or vocal settings. It works for White Room. Good music is good music.When I first heard White Room, I thought to myself that this music is special.
I only know the Cream version. I like this!
