Those meercats are really cute. I remeber reading a science fiction book in junior high where the main characters assisstant had meercat companions. Wasn't until Lion King though that I found out what they actually look like.

BTW, snagged and posted a picture of a bluebird for my blog as instructed. I know he's all fluffy because of the snow but he's so cute I just want to snuggle him.

Adorable. I must hunt up my meerkat shots fr Arizona last year. Not half so cute, but all meerkats are better looking than politicians.

Word verify: senesc. (heheh for all us ageing post-liberals)

KItten, we used to kid a friend at prayer group, who always had images come into her mind of God calling her "little bird," that she would be going to a heaven entirely populated by small animals. I think you would have liked her. Me, I think grumpy and odd looking animals are best.

I hadn't really thought of him as grumpy until you mentioned it, but now I can see he stole Mr. Potatoheads "angry eyes". I still want to take my little hand-shaped cursor and stroke his little back and tap that cute tiny beak. I'm a very bad person.

Uh oh, now I'm going to have to jump on the bandwagon. (Peer pressure! It was the peer pressure I swear!) I have meercat pictures from the Point Defiance Zoo a couple of years ago. No need to bring up that little 'need for traffic' issue. Nope.

Oh yeah, them's good meerkats.

I'm guessing they're nowhere near as intelligent as they look. Just our projections.

Sorry, no. It AIN'T ABBA, dang it!

And the secret word is an actual word!

They all look like they're wearing sunglasses. Too wonderful.

I love the image of Heaven as full of animals. I've just lost a dog. I don't know what's supposed to happen to dogs, but I insist on believing he's in God's hands. Nothing spells Paradise to me like a place where all the animals are happy and I get to be with them.
