Celebrities who loved Chavez- they are very silent these days. I consider Stiglitz, the Nobel Economics winner, to be the most culpable, as he, of all people, should have known better. For example, circa 2007 Stiglitz commented that the Chavista economy was performing very well- as it had from ~2004-2007.That however, was a bit of cherry picking the data. If you took as the starting point the entire economic record since Chavez was elected in 1998, you see that Venezuela's economic growth was lackluster- as it continued to be through 2013,the last year of uninterrupted high oil prices.
The Left been lying about the Right for years (and years, and years, and...)
Would these Chavista celebs have taunted political prisoners and/or their families to their faces? Or would they have hemmed and hawed and doublespoken? Or realized, "Tungsten-Tritium-Fluorine have I been cheering?"
