Wow! I never realized that typhoons would go so far north. Hope that the damage was minimal.
I think the Aleutian Islands interrupt them most of the time, but if something slips through, it has plenty of time to pick up steam.Accuweather radar stops at Nome. It's a hard line you can see on the map. If you are above that, no Accuweather info for you.
