Health Care Addiction

Akafred notes that however much we protest not liking more government involvement in health care, we are likely to quickly grow addicted to any little thing it provides for us - even if the whole deal is a net loss.

Just got your post on my own blog (I haven't updated much lately).

It's true you have no particular reason to trust my version of the story; this is the internet, after all.

And I regret some of the unpleasant rhetoric in my post; it's an unavoidable side-effect of the anonymity granted by the internet. On the other hand, Neo went farther in calling everyone who supports universal health care a Communist.

PS isn't Budapest a beautiful city?

I did believe your story. I was trying to pre-empt others getting sidetracked into that discussion by pointing out that it was true of someone regardless of the specifics here.
