Sarah now has the new American Girl doll from 1986, Courtney Moore. Courtney has a Walkman, which Sarah has become obsessed with. We still had some cassette tapes and gave her a few, but my wife also saw many nostalgic moments in what we still had, especially as much of what we kept was Christmas music.
So we have been listening to Evie today.
The song is originally Swedish Nu tändas tusen juleljus and was popular throughout Scandinavia in the 20th C. I think the running lyrics are a translation into Dutch.
