He's Ever Over Me

One of the songs by Covenanter Bob Stromberg that caught on and is still sung, I see. He does standup comedy now, but he played the circuit of churches and the big triennial CHIC festival for years. We used to sing this out of the (now disfavored) Silver Hymnal and it is one of my wife's favorites.  She has tagged it to be among the things sung at her funeral.  I have one of his listed for mine as well.

This version is tremendous. You can mostly only find solo artists, but this group does some very nice stuff with it. Only 40 views.  They deserve better.

Stromberg also always had a thing for shadow puppets. Now there's a lost art.

For some reason when you share songs here there's no link I can see, only the photo on the blog heading. Just in case I'm missing something.

You caught me at a good time, I watched his comedy and his shadow puppetry. I was thoroughly entertained.

Sometimes it is a matter of listening on a small device versus a desk computer. James is very up on this stuff, and I hope he comments.

If you scroll down to the bottom of AVI's page on your phone, you'll see, just above "Powered by Blogger", a link called "View web version." If you click on that, AVI gets another page view :-) and you see a version much like, though smaller than, the view you see on a desktop or a large tablet. That has the link you want.

I guess blogger figures you don't click on the links very often, and so prefer the faster load time, and are willing to go through an extra step or two if you really want to watch the video. Or else they don't want to bother.

I remembered that you had some knowledge of this. I don't use my hand-held device for internet very much, so these things keep slipping my mind. Thanks.
