Election Fear

Texan99 and Ann Althouse have both been on this, quoting of mainstream journalists that Trump is now afraid and confused because of Biden being replaced by Harris and Walz. Really?

Do they think this is actually true? What would be their, you know, evidence?

Or are they hoping to convince people that it is true, regardless?

Or are they just throwing whatever they can against the wall, hoping something sticks?

I suppose none of these excludes the others.

These accusations have been around a long time.  I recall being told that conservatives were afraid of strong women while noticing they were worshiping at the feet of Margaret Thatcher.

Trump didn't seem to have a problem talking about Harris at that NABJ gathering, and IIRC I saw a report the campaign had an anti-Harris ad ready to go the day after the virtual convention vote. Somebody at Althouse noted it could be a shift in strategy with Trump doing more new media while Vance handles the MSM given his PAO experience.

Or it could just be the usual Democrat projection.

Same on the other side of the Atlantic. The Labour Party (which actually hates working class people) sneers at the Conservative Party for being anti-black, anti-gay, anti-women etc. But the Conservatives have had three women leaders, one non-white leader, and many years ago Jewish and gay leaders. But every single Labour leader has been a middle-aged white man.
