Occasionally I hit the "browse" button by accident on the podcast app of my phone and see suggestions of what I might like that are clearly based on "well, a whole lot of other people like this."
Even though I know the downsides of too much information about me being accessed by too many people, it does give me a grudging respect for algorithms. When those get it wrong, one cn usually wryly figure out why.
