One Study at Least

Says that far-left ideologies are less likely to support civil liberties than those farther right, especially economic conservatives. That is what many of us would expect, but seeing actual data behind it is always nice.

Likely varies over time according to how dominant an ideology is versus how threatened it feels.

"Left" is a bit of a fuzzy category, but since a large fraction of those so characterized value the collective more, it wouldn't be a huge surprise if they value individual rights less.

Note that this is data collected from individuals in 8 Spanish-speaking countries - Spain and Latin America, so with places that have a mix on who currently is in power and how extreme they are.
