Saying the Quiet Part Out Loud
You will hear some similarity to "Has Anybody Seen My Gal?"
Perhaps I'm reading too much into a portrait, but in most of the photos, the girl looks a little petulant. As if to say, "I'm wearing the stupid hat, not let's get this over with."
I noted something similar, but wondered if it were a type of posed facial expression that was fashionable at the time.
