Cooking

I increasingly find that things which take more effort are better - but not better enough to justify the effort.

Which is why older people often make up a pot of something and use it for more than one day. Food is food.Variety schmariety.

Agreed on the seasoned bread crumbs, but disagree on the Swedish meatballs -- if they are not of the "better" variety, they are not worth the calories.

Dutch ovens and slow-cookers. Not fool-proof, given the quality of fools these days, but pretty good.

I use a pressure cooker, which is faster and uses less energy.

The younger generation doesn't know what pressure cookers are, let alone how to use them!
