Delilah

During the power outage, the battery radio picked up very few stations. I decided that I liked the idea of Delilah - always encouraging, always sympathetic, understanding the sentiment of even the most banal stories - better than the actuality of Delilah. I'm glad she's out there, I really am. She's good for the world. We can all learn important lessons in humanity from her.

I'm taking my lessons in small doses, however.

I'm less charitable - gag me with a spoon!

Agreed! I equate her on the level of Dr. Phil. And her voice is like nails on a chalkboard for me.

Yes and I'm glad for syrup on my pancakes. Bottled, microwaveable and ever so convenient. Syrup.

We like the taste. Small doses, indeed. Lessons in humanity? Simply syrup.

Perhaps if she spent less time reverting back to herself it would be more tolerable.
