Of course we can't predict very accurately just yet, but suppose, just for a moment, that we could predict with 99% confidence that in three years the rock was going to impact Cairo in Illinois, or Voinjama in Lofa County in Liberia, or Great Falls in Virginia (populations 1600, 27000, and 16000 respectively). A thought experiment: how do people react to the prediction at the target zone, in that nation, and internationally?
