Heheh. I think the daughter is grown now so she has made her peace with that or not. But I remember when the new volleyball uniforms came in for the about-to-be-state champs at my sons' Christian school in the late 90's. The Baptist elders were scandalised (except for the parent of the star player) - and y'know, maybe they should've been. Shorts that looked like body-paint, but that was the norm.
