Shark Attacks

Weather.com has a little film on How to Avoid Shark Attacks.  I'll bet they have very few in Iowa.

In fall a few years ago when Governor Polis of Colorado was tweeted "Colorado is tied for state with the least shark attacks!" there was a flurry of data on the subject being noted.

A friend posted that "no sharks" was a feature of the Great Lakes, so I had to respond that three of the Great-Lakes states have had reported shark attacks. (only one of those purported attacks was in a great lake [Michigan], recorded as an Illinois shark attack. That one was probably fictional).

The typical shark attack in a landlocked state is at a park attraction featuring sharks -- that's how PA and NM get on the list.

Iowa is, AFAIK, tied with Colorado for zero reported shark attacks.
