Still recuperating

AVI is still not feeling great this week, so posting will likely be limited to non-existent. However, a potential diagnosis has been found so that is a good sign. Many more posts to come I am sure.

Update: Diagnosis is Babesia.

“The first Babesia species was discovered in 1888 by Victor Babes, a Romanian pathologist in whose honor the organisms were subsequently named.”

Right up AVI’s alley.

Well! I'm sure AVI would have preferred to not explore this alley in such a personal way.

I'm glad there's a straightforward way forward. This was weird: "Sometimes it can be difficult to distinguish between Babesia and Plasmodium" I noticed that quinine is in the list of treatments.

Babesia! I haven't heard that word in close to fifty years. God grant AVI heals soon.
