I am willing to be an annoying person, but not quite annoying enough to put this up on Facebook. So you will have to endure this wonderful video that Grim discover here.
Yes, it is exaggerated and deeply unfair. Except no, not deeply unfair. Just somewhat.

I am most greatly amused! You done GOOD, AVI.
Thank Grim. You need to go over there.
Turn about, Fair play, and all that.
I put it up on Facebook a week or two ago, then felt a little guilty about insulting some casual FB friends whom I know to be vegan. None of them is in the habit of lording it over meat-eaters; they just post nice vegan recipes that look like they'd be pretty good. Most of the annoying FB posts on my feed have to do with women's restrooms.
Most vegans are fairly nice people who have made choices different than mine, and aren't hectoring about it. Like most everythings. A lot of resentment may come from the extreme examples in print which rouse the blood, and the added worry when it has some sort of official sanction, even in mildest forms.
OTOH, I had a fairly intrusive comment about my lunch ten days ago and twelve days ago. I hesitated, then said nothing. One of them picked up the cue and said "Am I being the food police here?"
Well yes, especially as the meal in question was a hamburger patty with a teaspoon each of ketchup and mayo - which is my work lunch 4 days out of 5. The only objection I can imagine is anti-meat. If there is a lesson to be learned about not generalising, I am okay with that glowing both ways.
