Too true. And mania has amnesia about the disasters of the previous grandiose adventures (that always end badly) and sees only a glowing golden present, like champagne bubbling, life of the party. That mania sees as only getting better and better. No talk of hangovers or DUis or ruined credit or divor e for infidelity will get thru. Mania hopes and believes the lie that the person is a god.
