All pundits are bad about ignoring previous positions which have become 'inoperative' but nobody who was anti-Trump because 'Russia Russia Russia' is gonna imperil their cocktail and dinner party invitations eight years on. If they were even half-way intellectually honest they would have done so publicly after Mueller issued "his" report and then shat the bed in front of the Senate. They never considered Trump's policy of isolating Iran to be incompatible with their "Putin's Stooge" take any more than they recognized Obama had to promise Vlad more flexibility to enable his appeasement of Iran.
The talking point now is "we were right all along about Trump being a warmonger and you MAGAts were suckered by the Orange Con Man."
