In The Stupid Places - Reprise

Remember last summer when I suggested that after checking all the logical places when you have lost something, the next strategy is not to look in the semi-logical places, but Look In The Stupid Places? One example was the refrigerator. I lost my sunglasses mid afternoon and looked in the logical places.  I did even check some of the semi-logical ones before just going out on a walk with worse sunglasses.

My wife just found them in the freezer under the refrigerator.

I find that I misplace items that were in my hand frequently, putting them down to affect some task and then not remembering afterwards.

So far airtags are the best solution I've found for the most-frequently misplaced items. I can't overestimate the amount of time I've saved (not searching for things) since purchasing a multipack.

Now, I just need to find some sort of tech that will alert me that I'm wandering more than a few meters from my phone. The phone case has my 'prox card' for getting many places I need to get at work, and the phone itself is needed for two-factor authentication on any work messaging. Without my phone, I'm physically locked out of places, and virtually locked out of contacting anyone to help me.
