The Flying Burrito Brothers were a big favorite of mine in the early 70s. You probably would only recognise the names of Gram Parsons, Chris Hillman, and Sneaky Pete Kleinow now.
David Allan Coe memorialized them in a song he wrote about the musical influences of the era. The line goes, “They say the burritos/ out in California/ could fly, higher than the birds.”
