I see that the 'Burg got two inches of snow yesterday. They get very excited and take pictures of all the old buildings when that happens. I wonder if they are better at driving in it than they were 1971-75. I doubt it. Start with a disadvantage that no one has snow tires or experience with snow and add in that the towns don't have a budget for salt.

Over the summer, half of Wisconsinites forget how to drive in snow, and we see it every winter (usually for quite a while--there are still patches of ice on the street in front of our home despite sunny weather). They usually remember by the second snowfall, though.
Yes, we notice the same thing here. There is no persistence of memory for this skill, it seems.
