Congratulations...a little estrogen, to break up the testosterone monoply, is always a good thing!

Plus, you get to buy pink, ruffly stuff!

There will be no pink ruffly stuff for our Emily!

hmmmm....such a srong aversion to pink is a sure sign that she'll probably pick it as her most favoritest color in the whole wide world! ;-)

You have to forgive me. I have lived in a world of jeans, khakis, T-shirts, and sneakers for many years!

My daughter-in-law Heidi will be the one person with veto power in this equation. It may well come to pass that along about four years old she will be fighting a battle against pink ruffly stuff with a determined Emily. Until that time, I would bet strongly against ever seeing her in said styling.

My wife Tracy is thinking about smock dresses, but without conviction. She remains convinced the ultrasound is inconclusive a boy will appear around November 24. I have been practicing saying "This is my granddaughter, Emily," and found myself humming "Pony Girl" last night.

One more thing, to tie this into your Catholic post. My first grade nun was named Sister Adelaide. I was proud when I learned how to spell it! That is all for now.

I'm all for pink, but just don't get her the pink ruffle butt tights!
