Terrorist Surveillance

Austin Bay gathers an estimate of how much it would cost the US to reconstitute the bank-tracing surveilling of terrorists that the New York Times exposed last June, but has now decided was, gee, perfectly legal, that they had their facts wrong, and probably shouldn’t have run the story. No estimate of the damage done now that the terrorists know how we traced them until June.
