"Where Nagel went wrong" is apparently in believing that evolution has a definite direction, but Nagel's beliefs about directionality of evolution have no bearing on the main point of "What Is It Like to Be a Bat?" This article re-started the whole issue of qualia and the Hard Problem of Consciousness (under which name it can be found in Wikipedia).
