I'm Just Sayin'

"That's just the way I am" is not an acceptable excuse.

How about Roger Miller's "I'm a nut!"

But no one understands!

akafred: That would be Leroy Pullins's"I'm a Nut." That is a common mistake, as the song is worthy of Roger Miller, and some say that Pullins modeled his songs after Miller's.

Because "I'm unwilling and/or unable to change" sometimes leads to "We regret the necessity to kill you."

Texan - wow, and I thought saying "That's not an adult attitude" would've been harsh!

The impetus behind my complaint was a 60-year-old coworker who just had to send me an email describing again how her way of doing things was better - despite the fact that the matter was now completed and closed - explaining that she had to tell me or it would just eat at her all day. "I just have to get it out. That's just the way I am." I cared less about bringing up the argument to get the last word - a mildly irritating but common enough failing in humanity - than her justification for it.

Gringo - I stand corrected, thanks. That song WAS Roger Miller though. Anyone remember his short lived TV show?
