Houston

We are heading for Houston tomorrow, which will only be about 20-30 degrees warmer than here for the week. The Alaska Wymans are very pleased anyway. It won't get above zero in Nome the whole time they are gone. The oldest granddaughter wants to learn to surf in Galveston, but they won't be giving lessons unless it gets to 70 degrees - which it won't.

This should be the end of traveling for a while.

Taking my new Subaru Solterra EV to see my daughter on Wednesday. Not a huge trip like yours, she is only about 100Km away.

The car is so good, its hard to express how happy I am with it. EVs are just better cars and I am pleased the almost year long wait has finally ended. Not cheap, but with the Canadian incentives at around 9 grand, very little tax, and the fact I can cut my fuel bill by almost an order of magnitude, make it easily worthwhile.

Its just so much fun to drive. So instantly strong, no waiting at all. The strong regeneration,
means the brakes don't work hard at all, and should last a long time.
