Dershowitz believes the SCOTUS has validated Trump's contention that the judicial branch is the final arbiter of subpoena power, by accepting the case at all, regardless of how it rules later. He believes the second article should therefore be withdrawn, or if it is not, Democrats who care about precedent show vote against it, regardless of how they vote on the first article.
I'm not getting how it's abuse of power when the president says "Let the court decide."
