Are there any of their own constituent groups that the Democrats won't sell down the river? Catholics, Unions, feminists, blacks, Jews, and now the gays. Who the heck is left? And why do people put up with this?
Oops...did you mistake the Democrats for a party with an actual organizational structure or agenda other than no more dubyah? As a registered Democrat, let me tell you: they're a mess. I can't explain it. No one can. And yes, I am very close to giving up on them. McCain in 2008!!!
Actually, it's probably close to the same thing I (and many other Republicans) am feeling. I am feeling a bit let-down by the Republicans, who have apparently decided to stray from the "smaller-government, less intrusion, personal responsibility" platform.
Although, the unlimited snacks are a good bonus...
That part I was prepared for, because I knew George Bush wasn't a small-government conservative. I am disappointed on how so many of the others have given up the fight. And the intrusion is still something I worry about at a local level, not the national so much.

Yes Bethany, come to the dark side. We get all the snacks we want!
They're like abused women. They always go back to the abuser because they don't believe they deserve or could find any better.
