Saying the Quiet Part Out Loud
From Amy Coney Barret's majority opinion:
"JUSTICE JACKSON would do well to heed her own admonition: '[E]veryone, from the President on down, is bound by law.' Ibid. That goes for judges too."
It was more 'universal injunctions' since they punted on deciding the actual controversy in the case.
I agree, and perhaps that would have been a better title.
One of the interesting aspects of the case is why the court declined to address the issue of universal injunctions when Biden was president but it now becomes and issue they need to decide.
