I heard something that annoyed me about a local church today, and my thoughts started going to bad places. I knew their founders from my Jesus People days in the 1970s - not impressed. Many of their kids were in Christian schools with my kids - I liked a few of them. Their youth group went in a fanatic direction when my kids were that age - highschoolers prophesying over each other about what was to come, that sort of thing. But that was decades ago, and I don't think those things are happening now. Still, some people I know have started going there, and I began to feel resentful. It put me in mind of this.
