Carpathian Cake

I include this for the humor of the translation, though the dessert looks pretty good. "Send the bucket to the fire."

 

Similar crust and cream desserts are called "Carpatz Torte" or just "Carpatz."  

I didn't have this exactly in Romania, but I had something like it. I will have to ask my sons if the style is also called Carpaţ in Transylvania.
