ReplyDeleteSeveral years ago, I took a machining course at a local community college. The other students were an interesting mix...one of them was a woman who was a PhD researcher at a government agency. She often needed special experimental apparatus made for lab work, and the agency maintained a centralized machine shop for this purpose...only problem was, the schedules she got from this service generally came out to about the Twelfth of Never.

The internet is largely opinion. Both twitter and facebook are about just that. To expect social media to be somehow 'correct' is asking too much. Anyway 'correct' has so many meanings and people to fight over what it is, that it kinda loses its meaning. It becomes just another bagatelle, with each, well each of the many sides, claiming it as their own.
ReplyDeleteYou can write your own social app if you want, its not really a scarce resource.
I think its more useful to educate people to understand the difference between opinion and fact. That returns control to them, without needing regulatory agencies, which will just be fun for some people to abuse.
