I thought this looked great at first. Jared Kushner as the great diplomat of our age. Then I saw that Tom Friedman thinks it's a good deal and I withdraw my approval, pending future developments. If Friedman, under pressure from his Manhattan and media tribe, starts to hedge, then recant, and finally weep saying "The council was merciful! The council was merciful! I see the Black Rabbit of Inle before me!" Then we will know that this is a good deal for all concerned. If Friedman continues to support this in two months, conservatives should start looking very hard for the hidden problems that ruin this.
Biden tried to take credit for it. If Obama does, too, then it's likely at least all right.
