I am reminded of flying back to New England several years ago in the month of April. When I got off the plane, my immediate reaction to the weather was "This feels like fishing season" : dry, cloudy, neither cold nor warm. Fishing season was a big event in my rural hometown. The clerk at the car rental place near the airport, in response to my query about fishing season, replied that it wasn't fishing season. When I got to my hometown, I found out that yes, fishing season had just begun. The suburban clerk's lack of awareness about fishing season may indicate one difference between rural and suburban life.
