Avoiding the WaPo's paywall: OJ Simpson shows white Americans how "conditional" their comfort is.
Well, and murder. There's that.
The Washington Post is mainstream, not a fringe publication. It is is the house organ of many agencies of the federal government - just quietly, unofficially. And sometimes, just insane.
I read that and had exactly that reaction: yeah, I was going along all comfortable until the double-murder thing, but that's probably my innate racism talking. So it turns out there are limits. I denounce myself.
ReplyDeleteI will avoid the WaPoo and its paywall; I trust it not. I also think it's Left-stream, not mainstream, though it is in D.C.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't recognize Ortiz. I've never heard of him before (not a baseball fan.)
I've heard of Moxie, but I've never seen one. (I've always lived west of the Mississippi. And in one state at the time where Coors was only available by smuggling it in).
The WaPo writer is in "Media studies". Something about trying to come up with deep thoughts about shallow shows must permanently warp the mind.
