I am back from a short vacation in time to get eye surgery today - a cataract removal in preparation for a macular hole repair four weeks from now. So it will probably be another day or two before I post and comment again. And in September I have to be face down for three days after surgery, so that will be an interruption as well. I am otherwise well and in good spirits. Hmm. As good as usual, anyway.
Wishes for a steady hand and fast recovery.
ReplyDeleteBe sure to wear a shield over your backside!
ReplyDeleteEye surgery seems always to require an unusually poignant Leap of Faith. May you have the confidence to place your trust in all the right places and be duly rewarded, and may the outcome exceed the best possible expectations! Saludos.
ReplyDeleteI've no experience with the macular surgery, but cataract surgery is one of best things I've ever had done. I hope your macular surgery is similar.
ReplyDeleteHaving to lie face down for three days might be a good time to listen to some terrific audiobooks, if you've stocked up on any. Good luck with your surgery! I haven't had the macular procedure, but a cataract is a snap.
ReplyDeleteYeah, no pain except the intense lights and the weird circular movement. The macular hole repair involves general anesthesia and I gather is a bigger deal all around. I was only in early stages of needing cataract surgery, but it apparently makes the other surgery easier. It may be years before I get the other eye done.
ReplyDeleteI am downloading podcasts, and have been told that renting a massage chair to keep my head down but still read is the way to go. Except who knows how well I'll be able to see?
Good fortune and good health.
