Outrage

We are way overdue for a new outrage. It must be a big vacation week for journos and PR firms in DC.

  1. Somebody might have noticed that the outrage tactics aren't working out very well.

It does a good job of firing up the base but that can lead to its own issues (see Ocasio-Cortez, Alexandria). Is promising to increase the disorder in DC by flipping the House to the Democrats really appealing to voters who might marginally support Democrats? I think we're going to see more quiet obstructionism like the current refusal of the Senate Democrats to talk to Kavanaugh that can be talked about discretely to their supporters but doesn't garner much in the way of headlines.

  2. The current Democrats in power hope they can have those quieter talks. They may be reaping the whirlwind.

  3. AVI, I hope you won't be outraged, but I just ran across this and thought you might, after all this time, be able to see the humor in Mark Steyn's (likely Last and Final) post on ABBA: https://www.steynonline.com/8741/waterloo
Where I live there are a goodly number of Scandahoovians, and there was an ABBA tribute band at last month's Scandi-Fest (they also did Fleetwood Mac).
