I saw stepping stones like that some years ago at a Saturday Market. The man who made them told me, "They'll ride up with wear." Flashback: Mr. Humphries, Mens Wear, 4th Floor, Grace Brothers (Are You Being Served?)
Thanks for your kindness, "AVI". I have never thought of myself as a craftswoman, but I see that some of my projects have been what I have been willing to share of late. Making and repairing seem a part of "strengthening what remains" and it helps keep me calm in our crazy world-time. Thank you to all who have visited. If you get a hankering for Ocean views...check out the entries before October 2013...we were living on a cliff above the sea and I posted a lot of local beauty. Now we are back in our home north of SF and a bit inland with a garden that pops up now and then too.
What a lovely site! For years I saved broken pottery thinking I'd make a mosaic, but I never did. I found the progress of the mandolin case absorbing.
