The sermon today was on evidence that Jesus is God. It kept puzzling me how unpersuasive those particular arguments were, and what I would bring up instead. In my natural egocentric manner, I thought These arguments would not convince me. They are therefore not good arguments. Then I reflected - well, they seem to have convinced JT, enough to go off and become a pastor. I'll bet there are more Christians who would be convinced by this than would be convinced by the arguments I might prefer.
Defining the evidence that one finds convincing is an elusive thing.
Which directions you have to turn to find God depend on which way you are pointing now.
