Midway through this fall, I predicted that Newton - then considered a tenuous pro prospect and a mid-round flyer - would undergo a Tebow-like climb up the draft board.
I assumed that the season would finish, he would disappear and "work on his throwing motion", then show up to the Combine or some workout where the scouts would gush over his quick improvement. He'd leap up the draft board to the first round, and by the end of it finish as a top-15 prospect, despite a few naysayers pointing out that he seems to have marginal pro potential.
But I never figured on the number one pick.
The real question is: when they get the number one pick again next year... do they take Andrew Luck?
