You live in New Hampshire...isn't that like a picture postcard of peacefulness?
Time to find a ranch or tree farm out in the back-country to sit on the front porch in a rocking chair with the dachshunds laying loyally at your feet.
Yes....I'm stereotyping. I know nothing about New Hampshire other than the fact that it's supposedly beautiful when the leaves change color. Don't disabuse me of my notions.
From experience I can tell you that the peaceful place, though lonely, occurs after the kids are all gone. It looks as though that type of peaceful place will continue to elude you for a while longer, AVI. I think I am jealous.
Actually terri, there is a great deal of truth in your stereotype.
The fall colors are more refreshing than peaceful to us, because the state becomes overrun with leaf-peepers at that time. But for a state that has a relatively high population density in the Golden Triangle (Concord - Nashua - Portsmouth), the rest of the state is pretty empty.
At least your "fortune" was a command. Mine have been backhanded insults. Things like "You SHOULD be able to find happiness in the future." They're pegging the failure on me if the fortune doesn't come true! Those fortune cookie offices must be receiving too many law suits...
