I was in a Zoom bookclub with author Margaret Ball until she left for medical reasons a few months ago. Her husband Steve Zoraster still attends. His patents and publications should give an idea where is thinking is. Her interests were more varied, as one can see from her books and articles.
She long preceded me in the book club, but I think I shared the space with her for almost three years. She was quite clever and funny, generous to the ideas of others, and clearly both smarter and more disciplined that I. She died this past week in Austin, TX
Doesn't she just look like someone who is a linguist, a mathematician, and a sci-fi/historical/ and pseudonymous romance (to pay the rent, she said) author?
