Come From Away

We went to see Come From Away at the Winnipesaukee Playhouse in Meredith.  That theater has some uncomfortable seats, but the production was good enough that the cast quickly overcame that and I no longer noticed. The script is about the 38 planes diverted on 9-11 to Newfoundland, Canada and stuck there for 3+ days, with the locals unexpectedly on the hook for taking care of them. If a production comes by, you will enjoy it.

We have season tickets for a series of Broadway road companies that perform in Louisville, and this was one of the shows that came here. Didn't know anything about it but I also enjoyed it quite a bit. If you get a chance to see "The Band's Visit" I would recommend that one as well. Similar story with a twist or two.

My son and his wife were in Kentucky this weekend for their 25th Asbury Reunion.

I hope they weren't too badly affected by the rain Saturday. At least they probably got out before the heaters turned on.

Their Sunday flight was delayed and they did not get home until Monday.

Ellie and I saw this on Broadway in February 2020. It was quite a show. The reason the date stands out to me is because a month later and we likely would not have travelled to NYC as that is when the effects of Covid were overtaking the country.
