I've loved that duo and their arrangements and performances for a long time.
But I can't help but think that this song depends a bit on the stereotype of "it's a woman's prerogative to change her mind" and the narrator's gradually, then suddenly declining insouciance about the repeated changes-in-plans. There's something more 'right' about the song with a man singing it.
