Plum Poem

Texted to me this morning:

I have blocked

the canal

that was in

Egypt

and which

you were probably

using

for the global economy

Forgive me

it went sideways

so fast

and out of control

It is meant to evoke William Carlos Williams's poem about the plums, "This is Just to Say"

I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox

and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast

Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold

And a sea chanty that I learned of in my wikiwander after being directed to Texan99's link:

There once was a ship of pride & fame
and "ever given" was its name
But close to Suez it got stuck
and it could move no more

Soon may the rescue come
or this will cost a hefty sum!
A puny little digger will not
make it leave the shore
