Green New Deal

  1. I think I watched that in its original release. I can remember much of it surprisingly well.

With two people, it's not too hard: one cuts, the other chooses. With a group that lacks intimate ties, and even in most that enjoy them, it's a task that will bedevil civilization forever. I'm working with a group of neighbors now who banded to petition the county according to our usual procedure for splitting up the cost of paving a rural road. No sooner is any decision made before someone who boycotted an early meeting shows up to complain bitterly of the sharing formula. There is not way to split things up so that no one will be aggrieved. We just come up with some rules and try to minimize the hard feelings, get some social consensus and buy-in.
