The Washington Post notes breathlessly that this might be the biggest inauguration demonstration in 2017.

Did anyone report on what was the biggest inauguration demonstration in 2009?

That which calls itself the center is not the center.

    Irony noted.

Were there any anti-Obama demonstrations set up to mar his inauguration? Maybe I missed it, but I don't remember anyone even proposing such. Even among people who were spitting nails and/or vastly depressed over his being elected. There were later demonstrations, but at the inauguration?

  2. On the other hand, I kind of like this:
“I guess in my heart of hearts I wanted it to happen, but I didn’t really think it would’ve ever gone viral,” said Shook, who is in her 60s. “I don’t even know how to go viral.”

  3. Remember the hilarious coverage of Tea Party rallies in D.C.? "Up to hundreds of people gathered near the reflecting pool today for impenetrable purposes." Aerial photos would show a sea of humanity. Somehow they never found the time to lavish attention on the organizers and probe their deepest wishes.

I'm still coping with the discovery that I'm a misogynist.
