If it wasn't for vanity plates, what would us vain people do??
My neighbor has regular plates on hers. She's in her late '70s, though.
I'm too cheap to buy one, but I think they're beautiful and would turn backflips if I won one in a lottery.And then I'd be too cheap to buy vanity plates. I did have vanity plates once, in my youth: "LHOOQ."
I had to look it up. Obscure even by my standards, dear.
So it qualified as modest.
